WE DO SOMETHING BEYOND ACADEMICS...

SPORTS

At our school, we view sports as a powerful medium to instill discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Every student is encouraged to participate—regardless of skill level—fostering fitness, mental well-being, and holistic growth.

We offer expansive playgrounds, dedicated courts for basketball, volleyball, and badminton, along with an athletics track, cricket nets, a football field, and indoor arenas for chess, carrom, table tennis, and yoga. Regular physical education classes and age-appropriate training programs are conducted under the guidance of expert coaches, with an emphasis on skill-building, sportsmanship, and fair play.

Our students proudly represent the school at zonal, district, state, and national levels, earning accolades in athletics, team sports, and martial arts. Annual sports meets and inter-house tournaments celebrate their achievements, while guest sessions by professional athletes inspire young minds.

We ensure equal opportunities for boys and girls, nurturing both competitive and recreational talent—especially first-time players. Upcoming inter-school matches, sports days, and training camps are highlighted to keep the spirit alive, with parents and alumni warmly invited to cheer our champions.

PERFORMING ARTS

At our school, we regard Creative and Performing Arts not as mere extra-curricular pursuits, but as an essential component of a holistic educational experience. These art forms serve as powerful mediums to enrich learning across diverse domains. Students are offered the opportunity to explore a wide spectrum of artistic disciplines—ranging from film, music, and photography to drama and dance—and are continually encouraged to discover innovative ways to channel their imagination and creativity into all facets of their lives.

SPECIAL ACTIVITY

Special activities play a vital role in nurturing a child’s skills beyond the confines of the classroom. Our students engage in a diverse range of activities, including Karate, Gymnastics, Chess, Classical and Western Dance, Vocal Music, Fine Arts, Archery, Silambam, and more. These pursuits help cultivate their innate talents, foster discipline and creativity, and encourage personal growth. Moreover, such activities enable students to build meaningful connections, which can prove advantageous in discovering career opportunities in the future.

STUDENT COUNCIL

MVM strives to empower students by fostering their participation in decision-making roles. The objective is to enable student office bearers to contribute to the seamless management of daily co-curricular and sports activities within the school environment by assisting in supervision and ensuring the effective execution of various initiatives. To realize this vision, the school has established a Student Council comprising the School Pupil Leader, Assistant School Pupil Leader, four House Captains, Vice-Captains, Prefects, and a dedicated Volunteer Squad.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

At MVM, we nurture leadership, self-confidence, courage of conviction, and a deep sense of responsibility in every student. Our aim is to help them discover and develop their inner talents and true potential through abundant opportunities across a diverse range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. These include sports and games, Scouts and Guides, JRC, various club activities, the House System, music, cycling, dance classes, school band, and spirited competitions — all designed to inspire growth, teamwork, and excellence.

HOUSE SYSTEM

Our school is divided into four houses — Abhimanyu, Arjuna, Bheeshma, and Karna. These houses serve as the hub for various key educational, cultural, and sporting activities across all grades. They are designed to foster a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and camaraderie among students. The house system also helps build a strong sense of belonging and unity among students from different grade levels. Each house is led by a House Captain, supported by a Vice-Captain and a team of Prefects who guide and motivate their fellow members.

CLUB ACTIVITIES

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Joining a club gives students the chance to sharpen their communication and leadership skills, take on greater responsibility, practice self-management, and become stronger team players.

LIFE SKILLS

Values should be seamlessly integrated into every facet of life, as they serve as the moral compass guiding one’s character. These virtues are instilled in children primarily through their school experience. Hence, the role of the school—and especially the teacher—becomes pivotal in ensuring that values are intricately woven into every lesson and learning experience.

ASSEMBLY

A school assembly is a gathering of all or part of the school community held for various purposes, such as presenting special programs or sharing important information on daily basis. During these assemblies, students come together to recite a common prayer or song and listen to announcements. Class-wise assemblies, from Kindergarten to Grade XII, serve as a platform for educational, health, and safety presentations, as well as school plays, talent shows, and other special performances.

SCOUTS AND GUIDE

“Be Prepared” – Cultivate Exemplary Citizenship.
Participation in the Scouts and Guides offers a profound enhancement to mental well-being that endures throughout life. Engagement in these programs fosters resilience, equipping individuals to navigate and mitigate the common adversities of life. Moreover, it significantly amplifies the likelihood of personal achievement, thereby reducing susceptibility to stress. Scouting affords young people a structured environment in which they can cultivate essential life skills, fortifying their capacity to confront challenges with confidence, adaptability, and composure.

JRC

Volunteerism forms a cornerstone of holistic education. Through active participation, students cultivate self-awareness while honing leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Our training programs encompass a wide range of essential topics, including fundamental principles, humanitarian values, climate change, disaster risk reduction, road safety, and hygiene & sanitation. To foster camaraderie and cross-cultural engagement, we host Junior Camps—vibrant forums where young volunteers exchange Red Cross experiences, immerse themselves in diverse activities, and forge lasting connections in a supportive and interactive environment.
